Back to School Teacher Gift Idea

Some of my favorite individuals in the world are my teachers. And I want them to know that I’m grateful for their endurance and affection toward my children. For Meet the Teacher Night a few years ago, my children individually crafted a small present for each of their teachers.

What I love about this idea is that it’s a personalized gift that won’t break the bank. Ticonderoga pencils cost less than $3.00 for a 12-pack at Walmart. And teachers are always grateful for extra school supplies for their students.

If anyone else wanted to do this for their instructors, I’ve included the template I made. Simply right-click on it and select “save image as” to save it to your computer. Make a copy, then have your children color and sign it.

2-Ingredient Dough

What I love about this recipe is that it takes no wait time at all. Because it uses self-rising flour, you don’t have to allow it to rise for a couple hours. Another reason is that my kids LOVE it when I make this dough. We’ve made cheese bomb rolls (wrapped cubes of mozzarella cheese in the dough), breadsticks, and pizza with this recipe.

We made a super simple cheese pizza with ours. I had left over shredded cheese and a half jar of pizza sauce. Thankfully, my kids were satisfied.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup of plain greek yogurt
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine flour and greek yogurt to mixer.
  3. Mix until it forms into a ball.
  4. Oil up your sheet pan and stretch out dough.
  5. Add toppings to your liking.
  6. Put in oven for 17-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Slice up and enjoy!

Hot Fudge Cake Recipe

This had to have been one of my favorite recipes to try out. It’s important to follow the directions so that you’ll have that ooey, gooey hot fudge in with the cake. If you’re a chocoholic, you’ll want to try out this delicious dessert!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons baking cocoa (2 tbsp + 4 tbsp, separated)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1-3/4 cups hot water

Turn the oven on to 350°.

Mix the flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix the milk, oil, and vanilla together with a whisk.

Mix just until moistened. Add to flour mixture.

Move to a 9-inch square baking pan that hasn’t been greased. Mix the brown sugar and the rest of the cocoa in a small bowl, then sprinkle it over the batter. Pour hot water over everything, but don’t mix it.

Bake 35-40 minutes. Let it cool for just a few minutes and then serve. If you want, add ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Summer Vacation Device Tips

When it’s hot outside, it can be difficult to stay cool. Relaxing in the water is a great way to connect with nature no matter where you are. It can’t readily shatter the warmth, unfortunately.

Devices can be severely damaged by both dry and humid heat, and the worst-case scenario is “heat death.” Hardware and batteries are both vulnerable to harm from excessive heat. As a result, basic safety measures should be implemented to protect your equipment.

In the event that you plan to take any of your electronic devices outside, keep them out of direct sunlight, preferably in a shaded area. In order to avoid overheating from prolonged exposure to sunlight, slow the cooling process of your tools. Don’t attempt to chill it down too fast!! In addition, you’ll need to acquire “cooling pads” for the gadgets. When utilized outside, this attachment is an excellent companion for any guest because it keeps the airflow of your standard tools intact.

In spite of the fact that a standard smartphone case can protect your phone from more significant damages caused by screen cracks and scratches as well as falling phones, it cannot prevent you from this regularly reported tragedy accident- horrible water damage. Electronic equipment can be severely damaged by even a small amount of dampness.

Sand and other small beach debris can potentially pose a threat to your phone or tablet since they can get lodged in the nooks and crannies. This can lead to a variety of inconvenient issues, such as a broken keyboard or audio issues. However, it can also lead to more serious issues, such as battery deterioration and the eventual inability to use your phone. These situations necessitate the use of waterproof cases and sheaths.

Coupon Friendly is back!

After roughly 5 years of not updating my mother blog, Coupon Friendly, I decided it was time to get back on board. I’ve lost all of 7 years worth of blog posts, unfortunately. That’s okay, though. This will be a clean slate!

As a stay-at-home single mom with five children, I find myself wanting to coupon and shop for the greatest discounts once more. My expenses have been increasing in recent months, owing primarily to the excessive heat we’ve been having.

In all honesty, I expect to continue with what I had posted on Coupon Friendly in the past, including:

  • coupons/deals
  • recipes
  • cleaning tips
  • parenting topics
  • school stuff

Come along on my simplified living adventure. Let’s see what I can come up with, and hopefully I’ll be able to assist you as well.
